Fermentation

How it works

Follow a batch from plan to pint

  1. 1

    Planning

Pick a style, set target gravities and volume, and build the grain and hop bill.

  2. 2

    Brewing

Record strike, mash, sparge, boil and knockout: times, temperatures, volumes and gravities.

  3. 3

    Fermenting

Log gravity and temperature readings as they come in and watch them chart.

  4. 4

    Conditioning

Note the transfer to secondary with its date and gravity.

  5. 5

    Packaged

Record the keg or bottles and how it was carbonated, then rate how it tastes.

Features

Everything a brew log needs

  • A full record of every batch

Beer details, grain and hop bills, water treatments, other ingredients and brew-day milestones, all in one place, like a paper brew journal that doesn't get wet.

  • Fermentation tracking

Log gravity and temperature samples and see them charted over time, along with transfers from primary through packaging.

  • The math, done for you

ABV, IBU (Tinseth) and SRM (Morey) are calculated from what you log, along with apparent attenuation and brewhouse efficiency.
